Gynecological Ultrasounds

WHAT TO KNOw

Gynecological ultrasounds allow the evaluation of a woman’s reproductive organ outside of pregnancy and allow for the evaluation of conditions that may subsequently  impact a pregnancy.

They are perfomed either by the transabdominal or transvaginal approach. Saline sonohysterogram, which involves the insertion of saline within the uterus, allows for the evaluation of uterine cavity.
